Mindful Wellbeing as We Age
This self-paced online course in Mindful Wellbeing as We Age involves eight sessions. You may like to take one a week, or take longer if you prefer. Each session is in two 60-minute parts which include explanation and practice. There is also guidance to daily home activity to be done between sessions.
The first seven sessions each cover one or two of the seven ways to Mindful Wellbeing as We Age, as shown in the diagram. The eighth and final session “The Full Monty” brings it all together and outlines ways you can be mindful for the rest of your life.
This course is free – we ask only for your commitment and we would really welcome your feedback when you have completed the course. We look forward to hearing from you.
The course is based around two pdf Course Guides, covering sessions 1-4 and 5-8 . The Course Guides are designed to be used on a computer or tablet [they also work on a smart phone, but the text is obviously much smaller]. There is no need to print these off.
The hyperlinks in the documents provide access to:
•More than 100 guided meditations, varying in length from 5 to 35 minutes. These can be played direct from our website, or downloaded for later use.
•21 Mindful Movement sequences of 10 to 15 minutes duration, with supporting videos,
•40 videos, mostly 5 to 10 minutes in length, which provide an explanation of the key concepts in mindfulness and mindful ageing. The Course Guides provide direct links to these videos which are on our website or on YouTube.
•Explanations of ideas and practices within the documents themselves.
The course also includes many additional resources designed to help you develop your mindfulness practice and understanding of mindful ageing, as well as links to videos and websites which you may also find of interest.
